A contribution of Rs. 20,000/= (Dhs.1,600/=) was sent as a token of affection to the father of Late Noman Azhar. A message of condolence signed by our President was also sent along with, to console the bereaved family. Anjuman played an active role in settling the accounts of Late Noman Azhar with his company, UNEC, where he had worked for around ten (10) months only. Although his dues were less than 2,500/=, after a lot of persuasion, the company agreed to pay Dhs. 9,000/=. We appreciate the benevolence of the company management and pray to Allah to reward them justly. A draft of Rs.1,13,780/= was sent in mid-February by the company to the father of the deceased, after we discussed the legal implications with the representatives of the Indian Consulate. Taking inspiration from Anjuman, his friends raised an amount of Dhs. 6,000/= ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- By no means shall you attain al-birr (righteousness) until you spend (in Allaah’s cause) of that which you love [Aal ‘Imraan 3:92] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

A contribution of Dhs.1,800/= was handed over to the Dubai Indian Islamic Centre to strenghten their programme of rehabilitating the Gujrat Earthquake Victims. We simply joined a campaign jointly launched by all the Dubai Associations working for Islamic causes. A further Dhs.4,500/= was raised from various sectors and handed over to them. Anjuman representatives participated actively in the Charity dinner arranged for the purpose, which was able to raise more than Dhs.100,000/=, with further commitments of nearly Dhs.30,000/=.This will surely help us establish a strong rapport with them. Our effort to help our needy brethren from another state would surely yield results when, God forbid, misfortune strikes brethren in our own state.
Floods in North BiharYear 2007: A total of Rs. 270,000 was donated to Imarat-e-Sharia for flood relief work taken up by them. Following in the transparency requirement of Bihar Anjuman, they sent to us the details of disbursements made by them. View utilization certificates of Rs. 170,000 donated by Dubai chpater and Rs. 100,000 donated by Abu Dhabi chapter. Year 2004: When the whole of North Bihar was struck by devastating floods in the year 2004, we could not have been a silent witness to the calamity. In the monthly meeting of July 2004, members expressed their concern and agony towards the apathy of Indian media and that of the government machinery. It was realised by all that this flood had broken all previous records of destruction, and normal efforts were not enough. Members approved an assistance of Rupess One lakh (Rs. 100,000), to be channelised through Emarat-e-Sharia, from the Anjuman accounts. Special efforts by active members helped raise another Rupees One lakh (Rs. 100,000). Thus, a total of Rupees two lakhs were handed over to Emarat-e-Sharia, to reduce the sufferings and pains of the masses, in the area. Annual Contributions to Emarat-e-ShariaFollowing is the list of contributions sent to Emarat-e-Sharia, Bihar, Jharkand and Orissa for the two purposes enlisted in the Anjuman Charter, i.e., (a) marriage of girls, and (b) higher technical education of persons belonging to the economically weaker sections of our society. Emarat-e-Sharia have sent a confirmation of receiving the Bank Draft, and an account of expenditure once they disburse the money to the deserving persons.
