At the same time, he has joined brother Moin "Moon" Khan in raising the socio-political prowess of Biharis in USA. He is serving on Board of Directors in the community where he is living in Chicago. He got elected in 2005 for a 2 years term.

Despite his association with so many organizations where he also holds prestigious positions, he finds time for Bihar Anjuman, and feels honoured to be associated with Bihar Anjuman as its representative in USA.
