Imteyaz sahib comes from one of the remotest part of Bihar. He opened eye in a remote village in Chapra in the early 40s, the time when the British rule was dying its own death. We could think about the pathetic socio-economic condition of the denizens at that time. But the intelligence of Imteyaz sahib prevailed over any handicap. He lost his mother during his school days. Only those of us can understand who have lost their mother in their childhood. Still all these adverse situations did not affect his studies. His getting into a medical college in those days when it was considered a profession of only a privileged few is a glittering example of his intelligence.

Imteyaz sahib was always among the best students during his excellent academic career. After passing out from Ranchi Medical College with an outstanding results he spent a year for internship purposes in Ranchi. During his stays in Ranchi he witnessed the two worst anti-muslim riots in independent India. These riots shook him to the extremum which he still recalls vividly. The riots broguht him closer to poor muslim community. He could feel their pains and vowed to do his best to help these people at personal level. Initially it was a passion which later transformed into a profession.

Some adverse circumstances led him to migrate to UK in the late 60s. But even this immigration was full of events. At that time the government rules prevented him to get only a small sum of foreign currency. This was not enough to travel to Cornwall from London. But some good souls are always there to help when someone has special blessings of almighty Allah. Dr. sahib has unflinching faith in Allah which helped him to conquer hurdle over hurdle with ease. Finally he obtained the position of consultant in the Wakefield Hospital in the North England. It should be noted that his passion for professional excellence continued which finally resulted in a post graduate degree from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. It was no mean achievement for a progeny from a rural background. He is so humble in his praise that he attributes all this achievements to the wishes of Allah. Indeed this gives all of us a very good learning to be modest.

He had a wonderful career as a consultant in various hospitals in UK. Slight health problem forced him to go for early retirement. In fact his early retirement is a blessing in disguise for the poor suffering community back home in Bihar. He is active in all the spheres of development; be it educational, social or religious. He had a long camaraderie with Late Qadhi Mujahidul Islam Qasmi sahib which helped him in reaching to the poor community of Bihar. Alhamdulillah now he is actively involved in all the activities of our Anjuman. His very presence motivates us and grills us from inside to atleast match what Dr. sahib has achieved at personal level as well as his contribution to the community.

Dr. sahib has a very nice small family. It is a very famous dictum that Allah helps them who work for his pleasure. This very dictum fits on Dr. sahib in totality. He has been blessed by obedient, able and god-fearing offsprings. Both of his sons are qualified medical professional. His elder son is a product of the world famous Cambridge University and is a medical consultant in Wales while the younger son preferred to choose optometry and is a very successful optician. He has two daughters and both are leading happy married life. We wish Dr. sahib and his family a very propserous time.

We need presence of Dr. sahib and his perpetual guidance in moving our Caravan ahead.
