We have seen birds of all hues flying criss-cross across the sky but of them eagle has a pride of place flying high above all the fellow creatures with its vision firmly fixed on earth. It is said that an eagle while flying can see the smallest creatures crawling on this planet.
We need to fly high in life with a similar vision. That is possible through a carefully structured career plan. Great Indians who have made it big on world stage like Dhirubhai Ambani, Indra Nooyi, Narayana Murthy, have all had humble beginnings but could make it big by keeping strong focus on their goals.
Deep inside, each one of us wants to achieve great height. We want to gain position and strength, want to make our parents proud and earn our own identity. But to be somebody in life we have to take the right path and the key to that decision is career counseling.
In career counseling one’s career is structured by eliminating what is called impulsive decision-making. The choice of a career is suggested based on the strengths and weaknesses of an individual and after taking into consideration his attitude and aptitude.
A very rigorous analysis of each individual case is needed because sometimes an individual might like to take up a certain profession only to please members of his family, and sometimes he might take up that profession without the knowledge of various other avenues which he could opt for.
