Ambition 2020 Get-Together in DUNES International School, Al-Khobar for a NOBLE CAUSE, on Thursday, 12th January 2012
What is Ambition 2020? “Educationally backward”, “economically downtrodden”, and “politically exploited” are just a few terms that rightly explain the plight of our Indian Muslim society. Amidst such circumstances, Bihar Anjuman’s Dammam-Khobar chapter’s motto to light a candle than cursing the darkness gives hope. Ambition 2020, an adopt-a-child plan, is yet another ray that shall emerge from Dammam-Khobar chapter of Bihar Anjuman to guide the future of a generation of muslims that is to come. The project aims at adopting a child from such sections of our society that live in abject poverty and are willing but incapable to educate their children. It is projected to cover the entire expenses of 200 children from grade-5 till they complete their 12th board exam. It is aimed to ensure that at least 200 students covered under the project shall obtain their 12th board certificates by the year 2020, with similar batches following them in succeeding years. This is a small effort from Bihar Anjuman’s Dammam-Khobar chapter to channelize the resources from the haves in our society to help the have-nots, so that we become a self-sustaining unity that needs little or no external help except that of the Supreme Almighty, with a mission and hope that the future awaits an empowered muslim community that will not beg for their rights but assert and attain them, insha-Allah. Aameen. Summa Aameen!

The program started with Tilawate Quran by Janab Qari Khursheed Alam Sb. An introduction of Bihar Anjuman, and the RAHBAR coaching centre, was then presented by Maulana Zaheer Ahmad Qasmi Sb. All the Faculty Members and students of RAHBAR Coaching Centre were present on the occasion.
Maulana Zaheer Ahmad Nadvi Sb briefed the audience about the facilities provided by Bihar Anjuman. Addressing the students, he said that if anyone develops two traits, no one in this world can stop him from achieving his desire to reach the highest ranks, insha-Allah. First is punctuality, and second, passion backed by hard work. He said that all useless things that only waste our time, for example, playing cards or chess, are prohibited (haram) in Islam. Such pastime easily deviates a person from his mission. Therefore, wasting time on video games, watching TV all the time, and too much indulgence in watching cricket matches, etc. lead to inefficient use of time resulting in loss of focus on the main objectives that one sets for one's life. All such activities will cause a loss of interest in studies and make it difficult to attain success. Therefore in acquiring knowledge, consistency and hard work are important.

The chief guest of the gathering Jb. Prof Al Hajj Abd-Allah said, “Muslim children do not lack capabilities or intellect, they just need the right direction so that there is no obstruction in their education. RAHBAR Coaching has provided children with the right opportunity and they should take advantage of it.”
In the end cash prizes were distributed to the deserving students.
In the end the students received the prizes from the guests and that concluded the ceremony.
