Editorial
Editorial

Dear Readers,
Assalamo Alaikum.

As you read this editorial one year rapidly came to an end while a new one has just got under way.
As in any year, 2012 will have its share of highlights and lowlights, break-ups and make-ups, of winners and losers, of good times and bad times and everything in between.
Man’s pride can be his self downfall, and the many activities around the world will always be a reminder that nothing, absolutely nothing, ever made by humans is more powerful than nature and the eternal power. Look for the Arab Spring to continue in 2012 in the Middle East and possibly in other parts of the world. There may be no stopping these tsunamis of protest and change now as people around the world are connected via the social media systems.
It’s an opportunity for fresh starts that can include many things — leaving grievances or grudges behind, starting new friendships or building better relationships, losing weight at the gym or, fixing something about oneself that’s been troubling or just becoming a better person all around. Perhaps you’ve wanted to volunteer with a charity but haven’t. Do it! I have been associated with you for the last few months but one important thing is always bothering me how are we serving you through Bihar Anjuman and its newsletter BaKhabar, we have continuously striving towards achieving a target to provide you a service through our network and its newsletter, All what we wanted to have your opinion about our work, our efforts it would not be wrong to say I have a desire to see your comments, your valuable opinion about our work and how we can improve ourselves, please do share your thoughts about us, please do help us by giving us your suggestion, your blessings…..please do so…
Have you ever just wanted to start over? If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed or like you just wanted another chance, consider the New Year a clean slate.
Start fresh, start clean and forget about anything weighing you down previously.
May be your home is cluttered or messy and you don’t know where to begin.
Start small and start fresh.
Start from now — the New Year — make lists and one at a time complete them. You will feel good each time you do.
Consider the New Year a new opportunity. Do something you’ve wanted to do but have been putting off. Cross it off your list and then do something else.
Enjoy your New Year’s celebrations and have a great 2012.
Sincerely
Jamali
BaKhabar-Bihar Anjuman.

Founder's message:

Bihar Anjuman thanks all those who have been with us through our journey, from a simple network to some tangible work on the ground. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a baby step, a few helping hands. We have just begun to walk, and we have miles to go ... ...

We believe in mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. We assign utmost importance to self-help. In order that our lost pride can be regained, we need to help ourselves. That’s why we are trying to promote a culture of giving rather than begging from other organizations or governments. Our inner strength will only come from the culture of giving and by coming out of the charity mindset (that has blessed our educational system with the madarsa culture) and mediocrity. Beggars can’t be choosers. We have to decide which side we would be. None but Allah owns the resources of this world, which He assigns to whom He wills. He allocates these resources most wisely. Resources like time and money can never be constraints in carrying out the good deeds that we wish to do, thus following the commandment of Allah Subhanahu Wa Táala. Helping hands are always better than praying lips. And, Allah says: Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change it themselves (Quran, 13:11), so we need to take the initiatives, and help those who do the same. That’s exactly why Bihar Anjuman was founded, and that’s exactly what we stand for.
Dear brothers and sisters, our experience says that everyone agrees to support a good cause if someone takes initiative. Muslims from Bihar and Jharkhand in your city are definitely not as unattached with their community as we feel. It’s a matter of just reaching out to them, helping them. Someone has to do it. Who else could be better than you?
Bihar Anjuman provides a channel to you so that the community can rise from its shoddy present to a worthy future that can be viewed with pride and respect by other communities. We urge you to come forward and join hands with the sole intention of pleasing Allah. With your hand in ours, we may rise above the ordinary to build a strong base of educated people before whom the entire world spreads its hands to beg for knowledge and technology, for wisdom and strategy.
